Biography

Melissa provides legal and administrative support and plays a key role in managing our day-to-day operations. She assists with handling client relations and supports both our internal and external regulatory compliance procedures. Working closely with Zhanna Zenina, she contributes to calendar coordination, research, filings, and completing a range of legal and administrative duties.

Melissa holds an MA in Russian Studies and Political Science from the University of Edinburgh, which included a year abroad at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where she studied Russian as a foreign language. She recently completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. During her time at SOAS, she was an active member of both the Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus and the SOAS Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Centre. Her academic interests include international commercial arbitration, international investment law, and broader areas of international dispute resolution.

Outside of work, Melissa is a keen cyclist and lover of the outdoors, and enjoys cycle touring both in the UK and internationally.
